U.S. Ambassador Michele Sison enjoyed Falafel for lunch with family members and friends in the southern port city of Sidon on Thursday.
She toured the city with family members from North Carolina, As Safir daily said Friday. “We thought about making a tourism tour and visit the city of Sidon … which has several important historic sites,” Sison said.
Asked about the U.S. administration’s stance from a planned Lebanese aid flotilla for Gaza, Sison said: “We hope everyone would be safe in this region and we look forward for peace in the Middle East.”
“The U.S. administration looks forward for a diplomatic solution to achieve peace in the entire region and this means comprehensive peace,” she added.
