In his Words
I, Anthony Touma, born on the 21st of May 1992 in Paris-France, was raised in Lebanon since 1995, where I went to school and lived most of my childhood. Music has been a part of my life since I was 3; Dad was a big music lover (Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin…) and mom an amateur guitarist and singer (Beatles, oldies) who used to sing for me as I tried to sing along. At the age of 7, I stepped on stage for the first time in my life, and boy it was all it took to understand that the stage is my natural habitat, where I belonged. Fan of Michael Jackson since the age of 4, when I tried to mumble the words of “you are not alone”, the king of pop’s influence on my music and singing is obvious!
I compose, arrange, write lyrics, play and perform my own original material. Classically trained on piano since the age of 8, and recently taking jazz courses at the Lebanese National Conservatory, I like to think I never fail to express what I am feeling through my music. My Message is clear: Love, Peace, Coexistence, Fun, and more importantly, Music for Music!
If we were to analyze me as a business student in the American University of Beirut, it would be safe to say that performing is my key competency, after all, this is what communication skill is all about 😉
My voice? Not to compare in measure of achievements or skills but only to get an idea of my somehow unique timbre, it would be safe to say it mixes Michael Jackson’s voice with Bruno mars’ and Adam Levine’s…
